Adoption Update: July 2014

We wrapped up our home study this last week. Our physicals are taken care of as well as required education. Ten hours are needed for the home study and with many random obstacles (illness, class cancellations), we have finally accomplished this! Our home study will be reviewed and hopefully given a stamp of approval by our international agency this month.

We are also gearing up for our yard sale which is approaching fast on July 18th and 19th. Friends and family have graciously aided in our efforts by donating a variety of items to be sold. We are still taking donations, although have limited space at this point. Items that would be a great addition to what we now have are any baby items, children’s toys and clothing as well as furniture in good repair. Please contact us here if you are interested in donating.

Our dear friend and her two young daughters have also generously volunteered to host a lemonade stand for us at our yard sale on Friday the 18th! We will also be selling homemade bake goods. Mark your calendars and come out to join us Friday or Saturday for some fun. Stop by to shop and enjoy some yummy refreshments.

Another exciting event on the horizon is a Noonday jewelry sale that a college friend of Robert’s is hosting in our honor and 15% of the proceeds will be contributed to our adoption fund!

The sale will open for online orders on Thursday, July 10th. We will post the sale later this week on Facebook and our blog so keep a lookout and don’t miss this amazing opportunity.

~Robert’s new job is going well and he is enjoying the change of pace and new growth opportunities.
