John 14:18 NIV

Nothing will hold you back.

You love her and you have bought her for a high price.

She is yours.

Your are preparing the way.

You have come to save, to redeem, to bring forth new life.

You will cross mountains, valleys, oceans, continents.

You are mighty to save, your love knows no limits.

You will come for her.

You will bring her home to us.

For you are making all things new.

Righting all that went wrong.

With you as our strength we will continue to strive on,
fight through, persevere.

Nothing will stand in our way.

LOVE will BRING her HOME.

Love Me Close https://www.magnoliaheart.com/love-me-close/ https://www.magnoliaheart.com/love-me-close/#comments Fri, 23 May 2014 19:12:33 +0000 https://www.magnoliaheart.com/?p=446 My three boys and one daughter ages 8 ,6 ,4 and 2 are with me 90 percent of the time. We eat together, play, learn, read, eat more and so on each day. I live along side them. We do life together.

We see wonder, we experience joy, we are inpatient, get angry, say sorry and hug close. The good and the bad. We are in it together. Building memories and close unbreakable bonds.

Even so, they still want more. It can seem too much at times and I want to break free. Have some space and my space is more like a territory. This constant closeness can make my skin crawl and my heart race.

At the end of the day, I am weary and so tired. We say goodnight and still they plead, “I need more Mommy time. Lay close to me”. I give a little more. I let go and just be. I shed my outer layer allowing myself to feel their soft skin, warm breath and heart beat so close to mine.

In those sweet moments, I know that there is nothing I want more than to lay close and hold tight to this intense love that I am given each and every day.

A love so close to God, so close to heaven.

Grateful for You https://www.magnoliaheart.com/grateful-for-you/ https://www.magnoliaheart.com/grateful-for-you/#comments Fri, 09 May 2014 14:40:22 +0000 https://www.magnoliaheart.com/?p=432 1976H - 02Your name means “Tower”.

This is what you have always been.

A tower of strength, a tower of refuge.

When I need someone to steady me, you were there.

When I need someone to run to, you were there.

You were my quiet strength that never wavered.

You have taught me to love graciously, give generously.

You have taught me the importance of hard work and great sacrifice.

You have taught me to trust in God as my source of strength.

You allowed me to grow and discover my own strength.

Though we are different we are not so different.
I bear your name as well.

Thank you for being my unwavering, steady tower.
For loving and giving of yourself, generously, graciously.

I am Grateful for you. Happy Mother’s Day!

I love you, Mom.

Loving Me in the Mess https://www.magnoliaheart.com/loving-me-in-the-mess/ https://www.magnoliaheart.com/loving-me-in-the-mess/#comments Fri, 02 May 2014 14:16:45 +0000 https://www.magnoliaheart.com/?p=422 I am a perfectionist who is slowly getting used to the mess.

To letting the dust settle and the sticky messes reside.

Allowing the noise and chaos to live here because it means joy has come to stay.

The laundry keeps piling up and the floor needs to be mopped. I can’t keep it all in order anymore.

Everything in its place and everything has its place. No, this is not my life anymore. It is only a delusion.

God is moving in our home. He is loving me in my mess. Reordering my imperfect heart. What I thought were my priorities.

The truth is, we are all one big mess in need of a God who loves perfectly.

We can stop giving into the delusion. Stop trying to make it all picture perfect.

Let go, give it all up to Him. He is more than capable of bearing all our junk.

It is then that the burden is lifted. We are free. Free to live with, love in, allow grace to reside in our perfectly messy lives.

Thick and Thin Friend https://www.magnoliaheart.com/thick-and-thin-friend/ https://www.magnoliaheart.com/thick-and-thin-friend/#comments Fri, 25 Apr 2014 14:55:53 +0000 https://www.magnoliaheart.com/?p=415 When I think of you friend my heart wants to burst. You have been there for me through it all.

From girlhood crushes to wedding days. From the dreams of yellow houses with white picket fences and true love. To the realities of labor pains and new life and crazy chaos bursting from the seams.

You have listened on the line as I’ve poured out my fears. We have grieved, we have cried. We have rejoiced, we have laughed. Until our tears have all dried and bellies both ache.

My sister at heart and this is much thicker than blood. You have waded trough thick, tread lightly through thin. You are my friend to the end, the thick and the thin.

Glue That Binds Our Broken Hearts https://www.magnoliaheart.com/glue-that-binds-our-broken-hearts/ https://www.magnoliaheart.com/glue-that-binds-our-broken-hearts/#comments Fri, 18 Apr 2014 14:45:50 +0000 https://www.magnoliaheart.com/?p=381 colors_of_tissue_paper“He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted” Isaiah 61:1

Jesus is the glue that binds our broken hearts. He takes all our tattered pieces and he constructs something new.

He takes the reds of heart break, the blues of sadness, the yellows of bitterness and He pieces us back together.

He adds purple for His power, orange for His joy and green for new life found in Him.

With our imperfect, crumpled, torn lives, He makes a intricate and beautiful mosaic.

We are His masterpiece.
