Glue That Binds Our Broken Hearts

April 18, 2014 by Heather Mitchell 1 Comment

colors_of_tissue_paper“He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted” Isaiah 61:1

Jesus is the glue that binds our broken hearts. He takes all our tattered pieces and he constructs something new.

He takes the reds of heart break, the blues of sadness, the yellows of bitterness and He pieces us back together.

He adds purple for His power, orange for His joy and green for new life found in Him.

With our imperfect, crumpled, torn lives, He makes a intricate and beautiful mosaic.

We are His masterpiece.

This post is part of Five Minute Friday series. I get the one word prompts from Lisa Jo-Baker on Friday. The rules are simple. Write for five minutes flat. There is no extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation. It is unscripted. Unedited. Real.

Today’s prompt was: Glue

Love this! You took two truths, Jesus binds up the brokenhearted, and we are His masterpiece, and wove them together.

    Love the mosaic idea!
