We would love to share one way you can walk along side us as we journey towards adopting from Bulgaria.

As you may know adoption is expensive. Whether it is a domestic or international adoption the fees can range anywhere between $20,000 to an upwards of $50,000. This covering legal fees, travel expenses, fingerprint and notary fees, medical exams and evaluations and much more. It can seem a little insane and completely impossible. Even so, this should not be a barrier to adopting.

We strongly believe that adoption and orphan care are at the very heart of God. We know that God cares most for the least of us. We are confident that God will provide immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine through every aspect of our adoption process. Our desire is to not only perseverance through the many barriers in adopting but to be transparent through the process. Our hope is to inspire and encourage others who desire to adopt and those who have a heart for orphans.

In this last year we have witnessed God working in amazing ways. With the generosity of family and friends and the many creative ways God provides, we have been able to meet our financial goals thus far. Our total adoption fees will be close to $36,000. This amount seems insurmountable yet we are now close to being 2/3 funded. God is so good!

As we wait for our referral we will need to raise the remaining amount. Once we are matched with our child everything will move quickly. We will have international fees due as well as travel expenses for two trips to Bulgaria. Our hope is to bring our two oldest children on our first trip when we meet our daughter. Our second trip will be my husband and I and we will return home with our daughter!

We are a part of an organization called Adopt Together. They are a non-profit and their mission is to help families meet their financial goals and make adoption more feasible. All while providing a way to give a financial gift to an adopting family and receive a tax write off.

We invite you to partner with us in helping us meet our financial goal and bring us closer to welcoming our daughter home. In the month of December, any Adopt Together donation will qualify the giver for a chance to receive a beautiful handcrafted, “Cradle to the Cross” candle holder that journeys through both Advent and Lent. We will also included Ann Voskamp’s newest book, an advent devotional entitled, Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas
.

Give Today for a tax-deductible donation

You will also have a chance to receive a unique gift that is sure to become a special family tradition for many years to come.

We will draw one donor’s name on the night of December 31st

.
We are ever grateful for your continued support, encouraging words and many prayers. Thank you for joining us on this amazing journey.

To God be the Glory!

In love and grace,
Heather and Robert
