Bless This Home – Part Three

March 23, 2015 by Heather Mitchell 3 Comments

This is the final post in a three part series where I am sharing this writing space with three amazing women, fellow sisters in Christ. These women, all uniquely gifted, share the role of leading my bible study small group each week.

Home Blessing:
Week Three

Written by Cathy Schmalle, A sweet, gentle spirit who co-leads with a quiet, confident strength.

May the Lord God bless your house with his wonderful blessings.

Let the peace of Christ rule in this house and bring comfort to all living here.

May Christ, the cornerstone, be the foundation upon this house giving it stability during any storm or trial.

Let the light of Christ shine through the windows throughout the house bringing warmth like a soft blanket.

The walls of this house will be like God’s boundaries,
shutting out danger and keeping the good inside protected in God’s love.

May the doors be opened to receive God’s love to those who enter
that they will feel a refreshing spirit that resides here.

Let the Holy Spirit fill the rooms with laughter.

May the Spirit live in the hearts of all who live in this house.

Let the Holy Spirit fill your hearts with love so it overflows
to others you meet along life’s journey.

May you have abundant rest at night for your soul to rejuvenate,
ready for a new day full of Gods strength and energy.

May the trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit transform your house
into a home of peace and comfort.

Lovely. I feel the warmth of the family of God just reading it.
    This is my favorite part:
“May you have abundant rest at night for your soul to rejuvenate,
ready for a new day full of Gods strength and energy.”
Amen…rest for your bodies, rest for your spirits, rest for your souls.
