Cross to the Cradle Advent Wreath

Small one, God’s own son, pure gift
of love. Humble virgin birth, no room
for Him on this cramped, cold earth.

God in flesh bears every burden.
Gift of love, He gave His own life.
Reconciling us to the one true God.

Inviting all to see Him, know Him.
Entering the voids of our loneliness.
Healing our wounded, weary hearts.

His love coming for imperfect me.
Into my messy heart, my tired days.
Redeeming my moments, mistakes.

Entering the voids, where I lack most.
Taking my meager, humble offerings.
Bringing forth fruit, He multiplies.

Come into our hearts, Lord Jesus.
Break into our cramped, cold days.
Bring forth healing, restore our lives.

Making room, inviting Him into our
messy moments, big mistakes,
busy days, broken, battered lives.

Come in today.
Come in to stay.
Come into our hearts.
We love you, Lord Jesus.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Heather! I love your pictures, and reading what you write. In December of 1978 I gave my heart to Jesus and had my first real Christmas. I finally understood the carols that I loved and sang really meant. What joy really was. How reconciliation with God was real and tangible in that baby boy. Praise His holy name!!
    Love,
    Sharon
